Each review will be categorized as follows:

CFR-1 This review is done with BETA cameras or equipment not available in the marketplace. This will be a preliminary preview.

CFR-2 This review is performed with production cameras and equipment available in stores. Canonfieldreview.com or Ole Jørgen Liodden did NOT receive free or discounted equipment, as payment for the review. Equipment is purchased and owned by Canonfieldreview.com or Ole Jørgen Liodden.

CFR-3 This review is performed with production cameras and equipment available in stores. The cameras or equipment are loaned for the test period by Canon or other companies. Canonfieldreview.com or Ole Jørgen Liodden are not compensated for this testing.

CFR-4 This review is performed with production cameras and equipment available in stores. Canonfieldreview.com or Ole Jørgen Liodden received the the camera or equipment for free or at discounted prices.

About the founder

Ole Jørgen Liodden is the founder of canonfieldreviews.com. He was chosen to be a Canon Master (Ambassador) in Norway and works closely with Canon doing field testing of equipment, and gives presentations and multimedia shows. This relationship with Canon is important as it gives access to new beta and production cameras. This also means that Ole Jørgen is a trusted photographer and tester, and will not engage in discussions of rumors or sensitive information of upcoming or unreleased products.

Ole Jørgen will not do “normal” studio testing of the equipment, but take it into the field for real life testing on assignments and expeditions. The important issues for CFR are how well the equipment works in the field, compared to other Canon equipment. CFR is not a site that compares Canon cameras and equipment, to Nikon or other brands, or if you want to see accurate studio tests of the same photos or different ISO-values etc. Ole Jørgen takes equipment on real assignments to see how they performs as a tools to achieve outstanding images.

Ole Jørgen is a pro nature photographer with skills in wildlife and action photography. He has published 3 books in the last 4 years. The last book was a how-to book on digital nature photography. This is a best seller in Norway and will be translated into English with an expected release date of April 2010. Ole Jørgen is also a popular expedition leader specializing in photo expeditions to Svalbard (Arctic – 80° North). You can read more about these expeditions [here].
